Prior to that, I'm off for a meeting in the wilds of western Waterloo, specifically the environmentally sensitive lands along the Wilmot line. Just down the road from the proposed Costco. So it's an issue fraught with competing interests, which is the hallmark of most issues isn't it?
As an example, I received an email for a resident of the area who would love to see access to the Wilmot Line from the nearby subdivision. It would shorten his commute, but is exactly the kind of thing supporters of the environmentally sensitive area are concerned about.
Like I said, competing interests. Balancing those is the job of course, and you always have to realize not everyone is going to be happy in the end. I'm interested to hear their viewpoints, and what path they see as a solution.
