So here it is! The first snowfall of the season and predictably there are issues. Mostly with collisions and such.
It used to be another one of those days on the radio I both loved...and loathed. It certainly made the morning fly by (not that it ever dragged) but...some days it was just madness. And while I understood people had problems with the roads....it was rather a mystery in some ways
Strangely enough, I never had to worry much about road conditions. I usually left the house around 3:30 am..earlier if I was going to the gym, so I had the road to myself. It's much easier to drive in the snow when there's no one to hit. And, I found it easier to navigate before the roads were partially cleared or turned to ice.
Now though, since I'm waking up with the normal people I look at this in a completely different way.
No one is ever going to be completely happy with the speed or efficiency of snow removal. It won't be fast enough for some, or done properly. And since our need to be places is important....and it's probably the most visible service paid by your tax dollars....well, it's no surprise people can get somewhat upset.
I've had a couple of people call me already about trouble spots they have seen in past winters. If you have some in the ward, please let me know. In the meantime, let's not try to meet under the wrong circumstances on the road. Drive Carefully.
